Robin has her Bachelor of Music Degree in Piano Pedagogy and State Teaching Certificate from ECU. She minored in voice and organ.

She served as a church pianist, organist and choir director 1970-1992.

Moved to Charlotte in 1980. Began independent piano teaching and choir directing in 1982.

During 1988- 2001, she served as the publicity chair for the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA), the Editor of the North Carolina Music Teacher, and President of the Charlotte Music Teachers Association (CMTA).  In addition she has served on the Ethics committee, Auditions committee, Scholarship Endowment committee and Nominating committee for the Charlotte Piano Teachers Forum (CPTF). She served as the Chairperson for the NCMTA District Contest-Festival, NCMTA State Contest-Festival and NCFMC Contest-Festival.

During this period of time she adjudicated contest-festivals in both North Carolina and South Carolina.Her own private students participated in both state and district level contests receiving Superior Honor ratings.

In 1993, she and her husband Kent Love served in Music Ministry to Nova Sibirsk, Russia.

From 2002-2009 Mrs. Love taught Middle School in the Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools.She taught Chorus, Drama, Piano Keyboard, and Band. Her choral students attended contest and received Superior ratings. Her choral groups performed at the NCMEA state convention in 2006. She also continued her independent studio.

Robin co-teaches Marching Percussion with her husband each summer for the East Mecklenburg Marching Eagles for the last 10 yrs. and the Red Devils of Newton- Conover for last 3 yrs.

Robin is currently an independent piano teacher, both state and nationally certified. She is a percussionist in the Winthrop Carolinas Wind Orchestra and performed with them in Spain in 2007.

Robin lives in Matthews with her husband, Kent Love.They have two grown children.
