I enjoy teaching students of all ages and levels. With over thirty years of teaching experience, I emphasize good note-reading skills, successful practice habits, and I encourage students to enjoy making music. My teaching style is supportive, patient, and energetic. Students may choose to participate in piano and composition festivals and may perform in eight casual Play-ins held on Tuesday or Thursday evenings throughout the year.
I am known across the country as a composer of educational music for Alfred Publishing Company and Willis/Hal Leonard Corp. I enjoy conducting workshops for piano teachers and I am the Organist/Director of Cross and Crown Lutheran Church in Matthews. I teach Mon.-Thurs. at the church which is located at 300 Pineville-Matthews Road.
