Mrs. Amy Harris received a Master of Music degree in piano performance under the professorship of Dr. Evgeny Rivkin with a secondary emphasis in piano pedagogy from the University of Georgia.  She received a Bachelor of Music in piano performance from UGA, Summa cum laude, under the professorship of Dr. Martha Thomas.  She is a trained and registered Suzuki piano instructor and a member of the Suzuki Association of the Americas. 

Mrs. Harris teaches students of all ages and levels.  She currently maintains a piano studio at Queens University of Charlotte where she instructs both traditional and Suzuki piano students. 

She is a member of the Charlotte Piano Teachers Forum, the Music Teachers National Association, the North Carolina Music Teachers Association, and the National Music Honor Society of Pi Kappa Lambda. 

Besides teaching piano, Mrs. Harris performs for weddings and receptions.  She was also the Director of Music at her church for years where she directed the choir in Sunday worship and the annual Christmas Cantata.  Her duties also included playing the organ and piano during services.  

Each student in Mrs. Harris' piano studio receives a well-rounded musical education geared specifically toward his or her individual needs and interests.  Each individual's progress in piano is directly related to the priority, consistency, and concentration put on practice and weekly lesson attendance.
