I have been playing the piano for over twenty years and teaching piano for nearly fifteen years. I have a Bachelor's degree in Piano Pedagogy, as well as a Master's degree in Music, from Loyola University in New Orleans.

While I normally teach using traditional methods and materials, I have also been trained in the Suzuki method. As an active church musician, I also encourage my students to study church music.  I am affiliated with the Music Teachers' National Association, the National Federation of Music Clubs, and the Charlotte Piano Teachers' Forum.  I am a Nationally Certified Teacher of Music (NCTM) through the Music Teachers' National Association.

My teaching methods emphasize beautiful music-making, along with music reading and music theory. I want my students to enjoy music and to develop skills that they will be able to use for the rest of their lives.
