Bridget Goodwin CT ABRSM Biography Having taught almost 300 students, Bridget Goodwin is an experienced, qualified musician and teacher. Bridget’s life has been nothing short of cosmopolitan, and her journey through life has led her to live in foreign lands and travel far beyond her native California. She lived in London in the United Kingdom for 10 years, where she progressed from Gospel to classical training.
Over her more-than 25 years of teaching experience, Bridget has become adept at a myriad of roles which include music director, choir director, band director, worship leader, conductor, and composer. She has taught students how to play piano, woodwind, brasswind, and stringed instruments, as well as coached voice.
In addition to being certified by the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) in the United Kingdom, Bridget has had a lifetime of musical involvement. She managed teaching studios for over 200 students during her years in Iowa. She has led many recitals and performances for her students in Iowa, Tennessee, England, and North Carolina. She has become skilled in multiple instruments, including piano, trumpet, voice, and violin.
Her lifetime of involvement in music has left Bridget with a desire to spread the gift of music to those who are less fortunate than herself. She and her husband founded Harvest Labourers International—partially with this goal in mind—and she is currently working to empower orphan children in Tanzania through music.
Bridget lives in Kings Mountain, N.C., with her family where she is furthering her music education by pursuing a diploma from the ABRSM. She is currently working at PMPS as the Itinerate Music Teacher - she makes “house calls”, as well as managing her own studio, BGoodMusicStudios, in Gaston & Cleveland County.
