Solo Audition Deadlines
Application Process Opens: January 3rd, 2027
Deadline for Applications: February 3rd, 2027 at 6:00pm
Solo Auditions: Held at UNCC on March 6th, 2027 at 9:00am inside Robinson Hall.
Solo Audition Finals: Held at UNCC March 7th, 2027 at 2:00pm inside the Rowe Recital Hall.
Honors Recital: April 24th, 2027 at 2:00pm to 4:30pm and held at Christ Covenant Church’s Christian Life Center (800 Fullwood Road, Matthews NC). Winners are required to attend.

All teachers taking part are required to serve in a work role at the Solo Audition Competition. A Sign-Up Genius will be available via your email between February 1st, 2027 - February 20th, 2027. We recommend signing up as soon as possible!

Repertoire List for 2025-2027
This comprehensive repertoire list is designed to assist teachers in choosing competition literature for their students. It includes selections from this year’s NCMTA Repertoire List as well as a Permanent Solo Auditions List compiled by the Solo Auditions Committee.
Since the NCMTA list changes every two years, the committee felt that it would be beneficial to also have a repertoire list that would not change year to year. After extensive work throughout June, the committee compiled this permanent list for your use.
The repertoire presented here reflects both the current NCMTA list and the Permanent Solo Auditions List.
