Erica Sipes: "Sight-reading Magic"
Erica Sipes received her bachelor's and master's degrees in piano performance from the Eastman School of Music. She is the staff pianist and resident practice coach at Radford University and has freelanced as a piano collaborator across the United States. She is a founding member and pianist of the Alma Ensemble, a trio based in Roanoke, VA that is dedicated to featuring music composed by women and has also launched a YouTube channel with Canadian colleague, Sandra Mogensen, called Piano Music She Wrote with the same aim. She regularly appears as the pianist for the Roanoke Symphony, Amici Musicorum, and Opera Roanoke. Ms. Sipes also works as a practice, sightreading, and performance coach with clients who span the globe. She is frequently asked to conduct workshops about these topics that are dear to her heart.
