Thank you to our New Members Orientation Chair, Nancy Brown and her committee for hosting this annual event on Sunday, January 22nd. New members not only had delicious treats but learned how to get involved in the Events and Programs put on by the Charlotte Piano Teachers Forum.

December 2nd's meeting not only fueled teachers with ideas to encourage practicing, performing, and dealing with parents, but the amazing Hospitality Committee also fueled us with the most delicious treats. Thank you!
1st CPTF Meeting of the year- A great deal of information was covered on such topics as programs, competitions, student recitals, membership, & referrals. Wonderful attendance and delighted to gain new members who thankfully were not "Spooked".

Meeting on April 1st was a journey down memory lane with Dr. Thomas Swenson, who helped us remember back when students had time to practice and why today's students need to be celebrated with any progress or success.

Dr. Kent Lyman's master class held in February showcased Forum students performing repertoire from NCMTA Piano Performance Festival List. He enjoyed hearing the hidden melodies. Zoom here.
Zooming in January with Dr. Manwarren gave listeners an in-depth look at the artistic style of the Classical Period, recognizing that composers of this time saw the beauty of simplicity.
