April 3rd – “’Practicing’- In Other Words, the ‘Not So Fun’ Parts of Playing the Piano”
Katharine Boyes will lead an inter-active, thought provoking workshop on how students practice, why students practice, and what they are practicing when they leave your studio each week. Through the study of examples from standard literature, and recent competition repertoire, participants will compile new techniques to share with their students to enhance and maximize time spent practicing. |
Pianist Katharine Boyes, a native of England, has performed
solo and chamber music recitals throughout Great Britain and the U.S.A. |
