​​​​Founded in 1953, Charlotte Piano Teachers Forum serves the greater Charlotte community of musicians and music lovers by providing a platform to encourage an exchange of current pedagogical trends and new piano literature, student scholarships, and performance opportunities for members and students.

PIANODROME IN CHARLOTTE

Opportunity for CPTF Members: 
CPTF was specifically invited to partner with the PianoDrome Festival as representatives of piano education in our city.
CPTF members used this space, free of charge, in so many creative ways: recitals, master classes, field trips, even lessons!
Three playable pianos were incorporated into the structure. PLUS, a refurbished baby grand performance instrument was in the center of the space.

Solo Auditions -  Congratulations to all members and students who participated in our 55th Annual Solo Auditions! Additional thanks to Chair Rita Mabes and her team of volunteers who made the event the success that it was and to Winthrop University (Dr. Matthew Manwarren, CPTF member) who graciously hosted our event. All winners will be featured at our May meeting on Sunday afternoon, May 7th.
